Terms and Conditions

 

Our agreement with you as an enrolled student of CQ Dance Academy these terms and conditions form the basis of your agreement with CQDA.

 

Refunds, Discounts and Credits- No refunds, discounts or credits are given for missed classes unless discussed and approved with the principal before missing the class.

 

Class Procedure- CQDA request that young children are taken to the toilet before their class commences to avoid disruption to the classes. Please be punctual in arrival and ensure your child is collected on time as CQDA is not responsible for the safety of children outside their class times. It is the parent’s responsibility to talk with and educate their children on the dangers of talking to strangers and leaving the premises unattended. CQDA cannot be responsable for students on the premises outside of their scheduled class times.

If your child/children are on CQDA premises and are approached by a stranger they are to report it to a CQDA staff member straight away.

CQDA reserves the right to exclude students and parents whose behaviour is disruptive or abusive.

This includes viewing or participating parents who talk throughout the lesson. Mobile phones are to be switched off.

 

Costs/Fees for lessons are charged by the term. Once a student has been enrolled and a spot secured in the class, you are responsible for and agree to pay all fees incurred for the entire term, even if the student withdraws from CQDA or does not complete the term for any reason. Overdue invoices will incur a late fee of $20.00, if the invoice remains unpaid over subsequent terms it will continue to incur $20.00 per term thereafter.

10% GST is added to your invoice each term.

Students are invited to participate in exams, presentations and annual concerts all of which will incur additional charges. These may include exam fees, extra rehearsal fees, costume hire, concert ticket purchase, video purchase (optional), photograph purchase (optional). Please feel free to talk with us about what to expect financially if you choose to participate in additional activities.

 

CQDA reserves the right to cancel or change the timetable and price structure at any point in time.

 

Communications- CQDA will communicate with you primarily by email and you consent to receive information from CQDA via email. We will not provide your details to any other company, entity or organisation unless consented to by you and all information will be kept by CQDA in accordance with The Privacy Act.

CQDA will use its best endeavours to ensure that all communications are virus free, however, CQDA is not responsible for any loss of damage suffered by you in the event that a virus or like issue is transmitted unknowingly by CQDA.

 

Working with Children-All employees and teachers of CQDA have a current Blue Card as required by relevant legislation from time to time.

 

Video/Photography- Photographing and/or videoing any class is prohibited. By enrolling with CQDA you consent that photographs and video taken of you (or your child), while on CQDA premises or at CQDA events can be used on CQDA marketing materials, including but not limited to the website, Facebook, business cards, brochures and posters.

 

Consent- Dance is a physical activity and therefore the teacher or teaching assistant may have to assist you or your child's understanding of an action, posture or position by physical contact eg. holding hands in a circle; lifting, correcting posture.

You consent to employees, sub-contractors, contractors and directors of CQDA having contact with your child in this regard. Should your child hurt his/herself you consent to employees, sub-contractors, contractors and directors of CQDA to attend to your child whilst CQDA wait for the nominated guardian to take over.

Your child's enrolment into a CQDA class is voluntary and participation in the class and the activities involve possible risks of injury. You assume these risks for you or your child(ren).
